CEDMAP is a 15 year old apex state institute, framed to promote and develop entrepreneurship in all the spheres of society in the state of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. It is an autonomous, not for profit society registered with the Registrar of Firms & Societies, Madhya Pradesh. The organization has governing body headed by the Principal Secretary, Commerce, Industry and Employment of M.P. as Chairmen. CEDMAP acts as the Nodal Agency for Commerce, Industry and Employment Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The institute is an organization of the State Government, promoted by Central Financial Institutions and other lead Banks of the state.

CEDMAP, a premier institution in the area of training and development, had developed multiple training modules to fulfill the training needs of a cross-section of the society including professionals, officials, employees, students, women and unemployed youth.
